Contest Winner!!!!

Thanks everyone for participating in our baby boy's weight contest. I am happy to say that Cheryl Priest won the prize, with the guess of 7 lbs 11 oz. That number was the closest guess of Jude's weight of 7 lbs 10oz. I am a bit shocked that he didn't weigh over 9 pounds!! Even my doctor was surprised!
Cheryl, I read in a email that you liked some of the things I have posted on my blog that I have made..... Is there something that you want to request as your prize or do you just want me to send you something??? Also, please email me your address so I can send your item. Please give me a couple weeks to send it.... Just a little busy around here.

A little something

The other day I made a thank you gift for the girls at labor and delivery, who took great care of me and the baby twice a week for the past two months. They were so awesome. 2 hours a day I spent there. They said they are going to name a room after me.....
I made chocolate covered marshmallows dipped in a peppermint chocolate crunch. I also made chocolate dipped pretzels. I filled a cute Christmas box with the marshmallows, pretzels, flavored hot cocoa and cups. They loved it!

Caught!!!!

Henry decided he wanted some candy, so he pushed the chair into the pantry and helped himself to some treats. He thought he was such a big boy. It was kind of funny!

Jason bakes

Jason decided Sunday evening that he wanted fresh chocolate chip cookies, so he made the decision that he was going to make them, since I was so tired from our day. It was quite a treat for me to watch him do it and watch him make a lot of funny mistakes. First, he started to use powdered sugar for the flour. He thought that it was flour since I did not have my canisters labeled (my fault, but still funny). Then he got mixed up with tsp=teaspoon and tbl=tablespoon. And he used baking powder instead of baking soda. In the end after catching all his mistakes before he started baking the cookies, they came out absolutely delicious!!!! Great job Jason. You can make them anytime you want!

The Pottery Playce

The year Henry was born we decided to start a Christmas tradition making him an ornament each year. This is the third year making Henry his ornament for the tree and first year for our new baby boy. Jason made Henry's this year and I made our new baby boy's. Growing up my great Aunt made all my siblings and myself an ornament that she gave us on Thanksgiving. It was so much fun collecting them through the years. I ended up with about 20 of them. I'm sad to not have them for our house fire ruined them. I will give them to the boys when they get married, until then they can enjoy putting them on the Christmas tree each year.

Decorating the house for Christmas

Saturday evening we watched Christmas movies and decorated the house and tree. It was so much fun. Henry loves playing with all my Christmas knicknacks. I know our tree is so small and and yes, it is fake. But it will do for now.  Maybe next year we will get a big real tree.
