The year Henry was born we decided to start a Christmas tradition making him an ornament each year. This is the third year making Henry his ornament for the tree and first year for our new baby boy. Jason made Henry's this year and I made our new baby boy's. Growing up my great Aunt made all my siblings and myself an ornament that she gave us on Thanksgiving. It was so much fun collecting them through the years. I ended up with about 20 of them. I'm sad to not have them for our house fire ruined them. I will give them to the boys when they get married, until then they can enjoy putting them on the Christmas tree each year.

What a wonderful idea... I wish I did that too
This is the best. It reminds me of the tradition that Carol and Dan are starting with the blown glass ornanaments. When Kevin and his brothers were growing up, their grandma gave them an ornament each year. It wasn't homemade, but she dated each one with the boys names. When we got married, we had a great start to decorating our Christmas tree, and they were all ornaments that Kevin had grown up with.
Great idea and fun tradition.
Great Idea. I started that as well when Caitlyn was born, and every year I have bought them a ornament, which will be boxed and given to them, on their marriage. This year I asked them to pick one out and Patrick said "Mom aren't we a little old for this?" Can you belive that? He didn't get it.
Nice. I think you are both artists. I really like the one I see Jason draw too. Is that one he really did? BTW, If anyone hasn't seen the ornaments Kara has done, you will need to see her finished product. She is a NATURAL.
