An evening away

Who ever thought of Providence, RI, as a weekend get away destination? We did, and it was fun. The boys stayed with my mom and Jason and I stayed in a boutique hotel on Federal Hill, the Little Italy of Providence. We ate a lot, drank a lot and just relaxed. It was our first overnight alone since Henry was born. It was nice, but we missed our boys.

So in Love .....
The Hotel. This picture is taken from our seat at the outdoor restaurant.
The hotel had an all white theme. It was pretty shocking when we walked in.

You can't take Jason anywhere without spilling something!
My husband is so romantic... He surfs the world wide web during a romantic dinner.
Playing with my food during breakfast.
We got pretty liquored up that evening.

The first person who guesses what this is, wins a nickel.

.

The Lansing Nelsons win. It's a telephone pole at Brown University where smaht kids staple flyers to advertise their smaht kid events.

Nature Walk

Sunday we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Blue Hills State Park. We ate lunch and walked around. Henry enjoyed feeding the ducks.

Summer lovin

Not too much going on at the Tait home front. We are enjoying our summer, trying to stay cool from the heat wave he have had the past week.
The boys are getting so big. Jude is already 8 months! I can't believe how time flies by. He is sitting up all by himself and pretty much crawling. All he wants to do is run! I bet he will be walking within the next two months. He cut a tooth the other day and loves to eat. (can you tell by his size!)
Henry is such a sweet boy. He loves "swimming" in the pool and playing outside. I finally cut his hair about a month ago. I cried and cried after I did it because he looks so grown up. I hated it at first but now i like it.
Jason and I are doing fine. Nothing really to report.
Hope everyone enjoys the last couple weeks of summer!

Who needs toys, when you have flower box to play in.... (thanks Cass for the flowers!)

                                                           Jude enjoying a slurppie.

Henry with  nemo painted on his chest. We went to a block party that my parents neighborhood had.  It was so much fun.  He refused to get his face painted. I was glad because it took days for that fish to wash off!

Jude wearing one of Henrys gladiator helmets.

Little cutie pie eating a teething biscuit.  He loves to get dirty.

Henry loves to play with Jude's toys. Although, it's not o.k. for Jude to play with Henry's toys!

Sunday in the City

Last Sunday we spent the day in Boston. We had a pizza for lunch and ate it outside the Prudential Center grounds. Then we enjoyed the water fountain followed by a relaxing visit at Barnes and Noble. Good times were had by all.

New York City

This couple looked at Hank and said, "Dollar?" He said, "sure," but they refused to give him one from their can.
There was a huge police presence around this hotel and Jason is here asking why. The officers said there was a big NAACP meeting that needed security. Here's the news brief on the event:

NEW YORK -- President Barack Obama's planned appearance at the 100th anniversary celebration and convention of the NAACP will cap a weeklong program in New York City, birthplace of the country's oldest civil rights organization. Approximately 8,000 people will attend the celebratory event, which starts Saturday and runs through July 16 at the New York Hilton hotel in Manhattan.

Walking the street at rush hour.
Reaching for cool patches.
Hot, tired and shopping.

New York City

Henry's tired after a long day in Manhattan
We had good weather for once
Jason's father enjoyed New York for a day.  He probably does not want to live there, though.
Christina was the coolest Farwell High School student in NYC that day
On top of the Empire State Building.  Lower Manhattan is in the background.
